| Day 3 |
[Sep. 13th, 2006|01:13 pm] |
I feel like I am hungry most of the time, but I've realized these are just food cravings. Rice, veggies, rice, veggies, rice, veggies........ohhhhhhhhhh. I need to break down and eat seeds and nuts because I am loosing more weight. On the plus side, I have had very minimal gas and bloated since I started eat this way. |

| Elimination diet: Day 1 |
[Sep. 11th, 2006|11:15 am] |
Breakfast: Bought a box of organic brown rice grits. Great texture, not too much taste, especially when you can't put anything on them. Only using filtered or bottled water will be a pain. I already forgot and used tap water to make the grits. oops. I need to go buy a couple of gallon jugs of filtered water. |

| Operation Bowel Movement |
[Sep. 10th, 2006|11:55 am] |
Tomorrow starts the elimination diet. And just in case everyone isn't tired of me talking about my bowels all the time, you can read a log of each and every day of my diet!
SO! Here's what I can't eat for the next two weeks (isn't this exciting!) -fruit -dairy -soy -wheat -sugar -high fructose corn syrup -artificial sweetener -fried foods -spicy foods -alcohol -caffeine -anything processed
I CAN eat (everything is supposed to be organic): -vegetables -nuts and seeds (which are way too expensive and frankly scare me with their amounts of fat and calories) -unprocessed oils like flax, extra virgin olive oil, sunflower oil.. -whole grains like rice, millet, quinoa, amaranth and kasha -bottled or filtered water -herbal tea
This is supposed to clean out my system for a couple of reasons; to see if I have yeast overgrowth in my gut (which I am sure I do from all the sugar I eat) and so that I can test foods to see if I am allergic to them. Apparently, this will make me feel like I got hit by a truck about a week in. We'll see. |
